A very rare piece of unbelievable quality Edward Barnsley beautifully hand made furniture.
The drawers glide open like silk, it is that well made, they are finely dovetailed with ebony wedges. Two of the drawers have original built in sliding compartments with box wood inlays around all the edges. The four cupboard doors have solid crocheted walnut panelled doors which make use of a timber that is almost impossible to find now. This very rare piece of original and stamped Edward Barnsley furniture is in amazing, clean and totally original condition, it has been held in a private collection for decades. It stands beautifully on tapering legs, has panelled sides and to the top is the original clear protective glass, that could be removed if so desired. Inside the cupboards are adjustable shelves. To manufacture this piece of furniture today, to this amazing high quality would be in excess of £30,000. It is a joy to slide open a drawer or open a cupboard, it is that good.
