An unusual George III mahogany snap top and bird cage base tripod table. The shaped solid top having an unusual cusped and raised edge with a boxwood and ebony inlaid chess board. The base having revolving bird cage mechanism leading to the well turned column with carved detail and raised on three shaped legs with pad feet. Very good condition and patina.
