A striking early 19th-century Regency centre table, featuring a circular tilt-top and pedestal veneered in richly figured burr elm. The top is quarter-veneered, creating a bold symmetrical pattern that showcases the depth and character of the timber.
 
The table is raised on a shaped triform base terminating in finely carved lion’s paw feet with brass castors. The warm burr elm top and pedestal contrast beautifully with the darker base.
 
The top can be tilted vertically, allowing the table to be displayed compactly when not in use. A highly decorative and practical piece, suitable for use as a centre table, breakfast table or occasional dining table.
