An 18th Century Millstone with Forged Iron Handle or Tethering Stone, C1800.

A superbly stylish garden or agricultural antique millstone with hand forged iron handle, ideal garden tethering stone etc.., antique garden decorative sculpture or useful tether stone.

A small grain millstone, hand carved with grooved channels which probably used for hand milling grain, the hand forged inset iron used to help turn, tbc, but ideal as a doorstep or hallway sculpture and or tethering stone.

We estimate to date late 18th to 19th century and therefore listing as circa 1800.

Height 85cm

Base diameter 28cm

A heavy stone base, granite or limestone. A rare thing of considerable appeal.
