A 19th C Mintons Dessert Cream Tureen with Stand C 1840

Description

This fine, classically shaped, stylised Mintons cream tureen stands on a flared foot with a finely detailed stem. The main body is of a broad shallow design with a pair of interwoven handles to each side and a separate lid with a twisted foliate handle which has a cut out for a spoon to rest.

This rare piece comes with its original stand. All three pieces are beautifully hand painted with rural landscapes with country houses and castles on a royal blue and white ground with superb hand painted gilding with a foliate design. All of the pieces are in very good condition.

English circa 1840

After forty years of shop keeping and maintaining beautiful showrooms, which have been regularly open six days a week, Robert and Wendy have now taken a slightly different approach to their business. Having sold their retail premises, the antique business is now fully online. The picture framing service has ceased to operate because of moving online.

All items will be personally hand packaged to a high standard. Small items are extensively wrapped using the best materials and are often double boxed. Items are then shipped with DHL or Royal Mail fully insured and often with next day delivery. Larger items would be personally delivered or sent with a specialist antique delivery firm, or for outside the U.K, a professional shipping company.
