It is of outstanding quality, crafted from absolutely gorgeous solid mahogany. It is a useful size, it is quite rare to find an early model like this. The legs are beautifully turned and fluted, this is a strong and sturdy item.

We have had this stripped and re-polished, the condition is excellent for its age, with just some minor historical wear and small marks remaining here and there. This has a gorgeous colour tone and patina.

Authentic pieces exhibit evidence of period woodworking, such as hand-cut joinery, original shellac or French polish finishes, and subtle unevenness on underside surfaces. The timber often displays a deep finish developed through age and oxidation.
