Description

This handsome Gentleman's plush top hat which is manufactured by hatter Lincoln Bennett of Sackville Steet, Piccadilly, London is marked to the inside with their details, with the retailer's details and dates from the early 20th century.

This fine quality antique hat which is in excellent condition is a good size at UK 6 7/8 (US 7) and has the size shown inside.

Would make a wonderful topper for a day at the races, special event, wedding or costume / prop.

Maker's details shown inside hat: Lincoln Bennett & Co. Sackville Street, Piccadilly, London.

Retailer's details shown inside hat: Arthur W. Foster. Middlesbrough who were an outfitters and tailors.

Marked: Embossed to inside with Special Appointment to HM The King.

Size: UK 6 7/8. (US 7).

Approx Dimensions:

Inside front to back: 19.7 cm.

Inside side to side: 15.9 cm.

Inside circumference: 56 cm.

Height: 16 cm.

Weight: 184 g.

Condition: Excellent antique condition with light signs of use in keeping with age. Just a couple of marks to the headband. Please see pictures.
