Antique Scottish Silver Mounted Rams Horn Snuff Mull Thistle Design

A very tactile Antique 19th Century Scottish Silver & Rams Horn SNUFF MULL, with applied Thistle decoration.
 
It bears a presentation inscription around the silver band - John Gray Mollinsburn .
 
The shield shaped plaque reads:-
 
‘To Mr John Gray
 
By the members of MIDEREX VOCAL CLUB
 
as a token of respect to
 
him as their leader’
 
1st June 1857
 
Mollinsburn is a small village in North Lanarkshire, Scotland.
 
It measures approximately 8.5 cm x 9cm x 5 cm.
 
In very good antique condition overall, the lid doesn’t entirely shut and there are a few visible surface splits, usual signs of wear all commensurate of age and use.
