A striking antique taxidermy display featuring two Eurasian Jays (Garrulus glandarius), beautifully preserved and arranged within a traditional natural history case. This captivating piece showcases the birds perched naturally amongst ferns, moss and stone, creating a miniature woodland scene typical of Victorian and early 20th-century taxidermy displays.
The jays’ distinctive soft brown plumage, black facial markings and vibrant blue barred wing feathers are wonderfully detailed, making this display both an impressive decorative object and a fascinating natural history specimen. Encased in a classic glazed display box with a painted interior backdrop, it offers depth and character while protecting the birds within.
