Mahogany Breakfront Three-drawer Side Table

A finely proportioned mahogany side table of refined classical inspiration, the rectangular top subtly stepped at the center to create a gentle breakfront outline. The top is beautifully figured, displaying a rich, warm brown tone with lively ribbon stripe and subtle flame figuring across the surface and edge banding. The crisp, clean lines of the moulded top sit above a shallow frieze fitted with three drawers arranged in a symmetrical configuration, the longer central drawer flanked by two smaller drawers to either side.

Each drawer is framed with delicate cockbeading and fitted with a circular brass ring handle mounted on a decorative backplate, the hardware lending a subtle period character to the overall design. The drawers are traditionally constructed, revealing solid timber linings and precise joinery, and slide smoothly within the well-fitted carcass. The stepped central section aligns seamlessly with the long drawer beneath, reinforcing the architectural balance of the design.

The table is raised on six elegant, square-section legs that taper gently toward the foot, terminating in neatly formed block feet. The slender proportions of the legs balance strength with visual refinement, contributing to the table’s light and graceful stance while providing stable support.
