A genuine Colt 1860 Army percussion revolver, .44 calibre, with regulation 8-inch barrel, serial number 130610, manufactured circa 1863.
The round barrel bears the correct factory address “COLT’S NEW-YORK U.S. AMERICA”. The cylinder retains worn remnants of the original naval engagement scene. All major components retain matching serial numbers, confirming originality throughout. A small “H” sub-inspector’s stamp is present, consistent with U.S. Government inspection.
Fitted with original one-piece walnut grips, showing the faint outline of the U.S. Army inspector’s cartouche to the left grip flat. Brass trigger guard and backstrap with correct period patination. The percussion frame remains unconverted, with no evidence of later alteration or refinishing. Action in good working order with correct lock-up.
Overall, an honest, unaltered Civil War Colt Army revolver with desirable martial attributes and matching numbers.
