Marylebone Antiques has dated this piece to the 1900s.
It is of outstanding quality, the rosewood has absolutely gorgeous grain patterns and colour tones. This has wonderful inlaid satin wood, with stunning inlaid marquetry on the central drawer.
The drawers have high quality and intricately designed brass handles, with fine hand cut dovetailed joints and a letter divider in the right drawer. This is nicely finished on the back, so it can be used as a free standing item.

We have had this recently re-polished, the condition is excellent for its age. There is just some minor wear here and there remaining beneath the polish here and there.
