A beautiful and incredibly well made antique Edwardian inlaid rosewood desk / writing table. This was made in England, it dates from the 1900-1910 period.
It is of outstanding quality, the rosewood has absolutely gorgeous grain patterns and colour tones. This has wonderful inlaid satin wood, with stunning inlaid marquetry on the central drawer. There is an inset leather writing surface with tooled edges, this stands on tapered legs and brass casters. The drawers have high quality and intricately designed brass handles, with fine hand cut dovetailed joints and a letter divider in the right drawer. This is nicely finished on the back, so it can be used as a free standing item.
We have had this recently re-polished, the condition is excellent for its age. There is just some minor wear here and there remaining beneath the polish here and there.
