Circa 1820. A quality George IV oval rosewood snap top breakfast table, the top in finely figured rosewood with carved fore-edge with a simple frieze with beading beneath, unusually the table opens on the length, which is held in place by a double brass clasp and brass pins, resting on a rosewood veneered block, all supported on a twisted stem with beadings on the facings, issuing four stylish and profusely carved feet with foliate carving on the knees, resting on four hairy paw feet with concealed castors beneath. The table has wonderful colour and patination.
