French Antique Warehouse has dated this piece to the 1850s.
Sturdy sectioned drawer in one side.
Pull out leaf at one end for general kitchen work.
Later additional extension piece which can be fitted to the other end for family meals.
Extension bars fit into holes fashioned at one end, with drop down legs on metal hinges.
Tapered square section legs.
In good condition showing wear consistent with age and use. There are some signs of historical woodworm in places, as to be expected. The extension piece is a later addition, with a different colour and a more rustic appearance, but can be stored separately until needed.
