A George I Walnut Card Table, Probably Scottish Or Irish, 1720's

Status: This item has been sold
Sold by: Jeckyll & Co

An interesting early example of neat proportions

2 feet 5''high x 2 feet 4'' wide x 16 1/2 inches deep, (closed)

The square section trefoil pad feet are unusual, likely Scottish or Irish.

Condition: Structurally solid, with a few minor repairs undertaken over the past 300 or so years. There are a couple of small historic veneer replacements to the sides of the frieze and sections of walnut repalced around both hinges. The right side of the table around the legs is sun-faded, see images.
