William IV Rosewood Circular Tilt-top Breakfast Table

Description

A good William IV rosewood circular tilt-top Breakfast Table on a central tapered column and a plain tri-foil base with polished Lion paw feet. The top has a diameter of 48 inches (122 cm) so will easily accommodate 6 people.

The beautifully bookmatched top displays the rosewood grain to its finest, with a fine patina. The brass ‘pull action’ clasp underneath releases the top to pivot into a vertical postion, for space-saving and display purposes. The top is further removable by means of two brass screws for transportation.

Dated: c.1825-35.
