Leeds Antiques has dated this piece to the 19th Century.
The solid mahogany top has rounded corners and a moulded edge, extending by way of telescopic bearer stretchers and three original leaves, allowing the table to be adjusted in length as required. The leaves are secured with Nettlefold stamped brass clips. The table stands on turned legs of elegant form, each fitted with quality brass castors. Excellent craftsmanship and choice of timber throughout.

At 9 feet in length when fully extended and 4½ feet wide, this table will comfortably seat ten to twelve diners, and up to fourteen on occasion. As an early pull-out design, it requires two people to extend, predating the later Victorian wind-out mechanism.
