FAQs

The Regency style spans the early 19th century, heavily influenced by neoclassical architecture and Greco-Roman motifs, featuring clean lines, dark tropical timbers, and functional ingenuity.

Cabinet makers typically utilised dense hardwoods such as mahogany or rosewood for durability, often incorporating brass hinges and folding X-frame bases for portability.

Authenticity is identified through period-appropriate joinery, hand-cut dovetails, traditional patination on the timber, and authentic wear consistent with age and use.

A folding tray table functions effectively as an adaptable cocktail surface in a living space or as an accent table beside an armchair due to its portable nature.

Maintain timber condition by keeping pieces away from direct sunlight and heat sources, applying occasional microcrystalline wax, and avoiding liquid polish.
