Made of richly worked silver and gilded silver (crown and the letters PGR), this devotional object is a genuine piece of tradition of the Catholic Church.
Ex-Voto derives from the Latin phrase meaning ''from a vow,'' and refers to a gift, donation, or offering presented by worshippers for votive purposes. It serves as an expression of gratitude toward God, the Madonna, Jesus, or a specific saint (often the one of the parish of reference) in recognition of a grace or favour received.
''PGR'' means ''per grazia ricevuta'' which translate in ''for grace received''
