Imari porcelain kitten, Japan, c. 1900, Meiji Period. The kitten seated, and having an endearing expression on his chubby face. Painted to the body in typical Imari style with stylised sprays of flowers, tied with green ribbons.
 
Having yellow eyes, and pierced nostrils.
 
Height – 13 cm, 5 1/8”.
 
Width – 12.5 cm, 4 7/8”.
 
Depth – 7.5 cm, 2 7/8”.
 
Condition – Excellent. No damage. No restoration.
