An original 1920s Eton College 3 panel, 6 sides oak folding screen with each panel displaying a variety of society rules including The Eton Society ‘Pop’ Rules, Library Rules, Debating and Political Society roll call of members and team players.
The 1920s to 1930, between the wars, evocative Empire era screen is a superbly constructed, bespoke screen measuring 152cm tall whilst each panel measures 77cm wide, apx 245cm fully open.
Each panel displays a variety of house colours, or ribbons with a central panel featuring Rules of The Eton Society, pinned with masters canes and ribbons, an enchanting thing.
The school is recognised for its popularity both at the time and more recently as a 1st choice for boys of notable political leaders, the political and debating society being a practice ground for future statesmen and leaders of the Empire.
