Upon joining, every dealer agrees to a strict 9-point code of conduct. While issues can occasionally arise, our dealers typically resolve them swiftly and directly with the buyer. In fact, since our founding in 2002, Sellingantiques has only had to step in to help resolve an issue on roughly five occasions—a true testament to the quality of our dealers and their dedication to your happiness.
Our dealers are highly experienced in packing and shipping fragile, high-value antiques. Because you are in direct contact with the dealer, you will be able to easily go through all available shipping and insurance options together to ensure your item arrives safely.
Antiques are the ultimate green purchase. By choosing historical pieces over newly manufactured goods, you completely eliminate the carbon footprint of modern mass production while preserving exceptional, timeless craftsmanship.

The George V period spans from 1910 to 1936, characterised by a transition from ornate Edwardian styles towards cleaner, more restrained geometric lines influenced by early Art Deco design.

These frames typically feature a sterling silver front sheet mounted over a wooden core, fitted with glass panes and backed with wood, leather, or velvet.

Authenticity is verified by checking for official British hallmarks, which include the makers mark, the lion passant for sterling silver, the town assay office mark, and a date letter corresponding to the George V reign.

They provide a polished metallic accent on mantelpieces, bookshelves, or side tables, adding a layer of reflective texture that complements both contemporary and traditional room schemes.

Silver frames should be gently polished using a high-quality, non-abrasive silver cloth or cream, avoiding contact with the backing material and glass to prevent staining or moisture damage.
