An Imari charger is a substantial decorative porcelain dish originating from the Arita region of Japan, historically exported through the port of Imari and characterized by distinctive enamelled designs.

Traditional Imari porcelain is constructed from kaolin clay, decorated with underglaze cobalt blue before firing, and subsequently hand-finished with overglaze iron-red enamels and gold gilding.
