This is a Gorgeous Antique Victorian Liberty of London Japanism walnut side table c1880. it is fully carved and a beautiful piece.
in 1863 an American Admiral negotiated a trade deal with Japan opening its borders for trade after nearly 300 years. After this Europe went mad for anything Japanese and this was all the rage.
