Touch of Time Antiques has dated this Rockingham Porcelain Floral Basket to the 1800s.
Exquisitely painted inside in minute detail is a view of a famous Thatcher Rock in Torque attributed to William Willis Bailey. The scene is framed with a gilt border of trailing vine.

The basket dates to c.1830-42, marked to the reverse with a printed puce griffin mark and red script.
A similar basket can be found in Alwyn & Angela Cox book “Rockingham 1745-1842”, colour plate 108, page 294.

Dimensions: hight - 8cm, diameter – 11 cm.
Condition: excellent condition, just some typical minor losses to applied flowers, and some very fine, hardly visible crazing to the reverse of the basket. A wonderful and well-preserved example.
