Volkstedt Triebner, Ens &?eckert Boy With Bird Figurine, C.?1877
£100 $135 €117
A charming late-19th-century porcelain figure by Triebner, Ens?&?Eckert of Volkstedt, Thuringia. The barefoot boy in rustic attire holds a white bird on his outstretched arm. Finely modeled in hard-paste porcelain and hand-painted in warm earth tones with brown and gilt floral motifs, the piece sits on a molded base of flowers and a tree stump. The impressed model number “39” and factory mark authenticate its origin. Under transparent glaze, the rich polychrome enamels remain vibrant.
Similar Volkstedt figural works appear in German decorative arts collections and achieve €200–€400 at Dorotheum and Ketterer?Kunst. Height: 13?cm. Professional overpainting on arms and collar; tiny chips to flower petals on hat and base; otherwise excellent preservation of color and form, no cracks.
Please study the accompanying photographs carefully as they form an integral part of this description. If you have any questions, we will be happy to answer them. The item will be shipped with full tracking and insurance.
