FAQs

An Art Deco smoker stand is a specialised piece of occasional furniture designed during the 1920s and 1930s to hold smoking paraphernalia, including ashtrays, matches, and tobacco.

These stands were frequently constructed from solid woods such as oak, mahogany, or walnut, often featuring metal accents like brass or copper trays and fittings.

Authentic pieces typically exhibit period-specific geometric or stylised organic motifs, traditional joinery methods, and natural age-related patina on the wood and metal surfaces.

Such pieces function well as compact accent tables in living spaces or studies, and can be repurposed to display small decorative objects or plants.

Maintenance involves dusting with a soft, dry cloth and occasionally applying quality beeswax to nourish the wood, avoiding direct sunlight and excessive moisture.
