These charming STAFFORDSHIRE LION AND UNICORN FIGURES date from circa 1840.

The LION AND UNICORN are symbols of the United Kingdom - the LION representing ENGLAND and the UNICORN SCOTLAND. Their use dates back to KING JAMES I in 1603.

There is only minor restoration.

They display beautifully.
