An antique bone apple corer is a domestic kitchen utensil carved from animal bone, historically used to remove the core from apples and other fruits before consumption or cooking.

These items were typically hand-carved from animal bone, horn, or dense hardwoods using primitive hand tools, often featuring simple dot-punched decoration known as pinprick or punchwork.

Authentic pieces exhibit natural ageing, distinct patination, hand-carved tool marks, and organic wear patterns consistent with centuries of handling and use, as well as genuine period ink or punchwork inscriptions.

Such small historical artefacts look striking when placed in shallow display cabinets, framed in shadow boxes, or arranged simply on a wooden tray alongside other curated curiosities.

Antique bone should be kept away from direct sunlight, extreme temperature fluctuations, and excessive moisture to prevent drying, cracking, or warping over time.
