LVS Decorative Arts has dated this piece to the Edwardian era.
This table consists of a profusely inlaid oval top consisting of central inlaid and stained marquetry design of musical instruments and foliate decoration surrounded by an inlaid oval border of harebells.

This is surrounded by finely inlaid and stained marquetry floral and foliate decoration surrounded by mahogany and boxwood stringing with an outer satin birch banding leading down to an edge of mahogany and boxwood stringing.

We have attributed this table to ‘S&H Jewell’ as we have previously owned an almost identical table which was satinwood, this had a retailer plaque ‘S&H Jewel, Little Queen, Holborn’ to the underside.

'S&H Jewel, Little Queen Street, Holborn' were based in London and believed to be retailers of furniture from their warehouse from 1830-1900.
This table is in very good condition for age, is of stable construction and can go straight into a home - the table also has an oval glass top to protect the top, if required.
