King Street was a secondary factory operated by former Derby porcelain workers from the mid-19th century until the early 20th century, producing fine hand-painted wares that emulated the earlier traditional styles of the main Crown Derby manufactory.

These pieces are crafted from fine bone china or porcelain, shaped by throwing or casting, and finished with hand-painted enamel colours, heavily gilded accents, and pierced lids designed to release fragrance.

Authenticity is determined by examining specific factory backstamps, hand-painted pattern numbers, the quality of the gilding, and the characteristic palette and paste used during the specific operational period.

An antique porcelain vase can be displayed as a focal point on a mantelpiece, console table, or enclosed bookcase to add a layer of historical craftsmanship and sophisticated colour to contemporary spaces.

Clean antique porcelain gently using a soft, dry microfibre cloth to remove dust. Avoid using water, abrasive cloths, or chemical cleaning agents, as these can damage fragile hand-painted enamel details and delicate gilding.
