Miles Griffiths Antiques Ltd has dated this piece to the Edwardian era.
A elegant and good sized antique side table that stands well on four shapely legs, still in the original burnt reddy paint finish with original gilt highlights and a wonderful, original Chinoiserie work table top. To the front is a central working drawer which is flanked by a pair of smaller dummy drawers.
To the centre, a vanity mirror slides up into position for use. Could be used as a writing desk too, as the leg clearance is very good. In superb condition, complete with the original brass handles, stands firmly and works well. Dates to around 1900.
