A superb, English 18th century, solid period oak antique kitchen preparation table of great scale, from the North of England, a rare survival of an English country house table, rare to find with the original heavy turnover top, never been fixed, designed to be turned for different uses, work and dining. It is in fabulous condition, a wonderful original colour and skin to the surface, the table top is four thick boards of oak with cleated ends, there are three original iron rods, through the width of the top, to stop warping and twisting.
To the frieze on all four sides is a small bracket detail decoration. A very rare North Yorkshire 18th century Country House period oak table of massive proportions, in such wonderful, honest condition. Dates to around 1780.
