A Georgian oak tilt-top tripod table with a circular top made from a single piece of oak and a turned column base, c1760. The table has a rich deep colour and is in good condition throughout…A simple little table, but the top is - to me - a thing of beauty. A single plank of oak with a subtle texture from being cut/planed with an adze - this is especially obvious on the underside where it hasn’t been smoothed off as much. The tilt top has a single mechanism with a wooden turn latch to hold it in place when the top is lowered.Condition: Good condition throughout. There a couple of small scuffs on the top which I have tried to show in the photos.
