Leather Cordite Bucket

1900 - 1920
Description

A charming brown leather bucket with a leather carrying handle. Originally made as a cordite case, now with a metal removable liner, so practical for many uses, often used for kindling and lighters.

All in good condition, with the lovely old leather a good warm colour.

Stamped to the base BH & GL ltd this is Barrow Hepburn & Gale of Bermondsey London.

Dated around 1920s. Size without the handle 37.cm high.
