Victorian Staffordshire Figure

19th century
Description

An unusual 19th Century Staffordshire flat back model of a young boy with a monkey. The boy is seated atop a naturalistic green base wearing a pink jacket and a hat. It is a good quality example and is well modelled with hand painted decoration.

The figure is in good condition for its age. There are no major damages and the colours have remained bright and vibrant. There are typical minor flaws, some glaze crazing and small knocks here and there but nothing untoward and no major damages.
