Very elegant English Regency (c1820) mahogany with walnut cross banding sofa table with drop side laves, two drawers and faux / dummy drawers to the rear, so this can be a freestanding table if required.
The banded and ebony inlaid table top with its side drop leaves offers a good surface area for lamps etc, so can work as a console table but also originally this sort of table would have been occasionally used to sit at as a desk.
Supported by the swept pedestal style legs with wonderful original brass lions paw feet with castors.
Good condition with some of the usual age related marks, but all under many many years of beeswax polish.
