Gilt and Gesso has dated this piece to the 19th Century.
An impressive pedestal with a 23cm sq square platform top which detaches and provides for a smaller, circular top if preferred and reveals the tightening thread that secures the column into its sections, original, operating and intact.
The turned central column is 3 sectional to allow ease of transport etc, upon a 24cm octagonal base.
Presented in excellent, original condition without loss or chips, evidence of some minor scratches from use to the top platform but otherwise excellent, very often these will have some chips etc.., a very fine example.
