Description

An Second Empire freestanding walnut side table in the Louis XIII taste, the rectangular top with crossbanding and a moulded edge over a recessed cushion frieze fitted with a drawer with an iron handle, raised on elaborately turned supports with tapering fluted shafts and bobbins, united by a shaped X stretcher and on turned bun feet. French, circa 1860.

Condition: Overall very good, the table is in very good condition and is solid and robust, there is a small patch of discoloration to the right hand side of the top however this will disappear, the drawer runs smoothly and overall the table has a charming appearance and very elegant proportions, as well as pleasing colour and patina.
