An Early 19th Century Mahogany and Gilded Monopodia Corner Console Table, C1835.
A superbly stylish English 19th Century, carved mahogany monopodia corner table with gilded elements.
The serpentine front, corner monopodia dates to circa 1835-1840, late Regency period and displays an elaborate, ornate style of the period, a good example in terms of design and flourish with some evidence of timeworn use to the top which shows running to the gilding but very stable and structurally excellent.
Just back from the workshop where it has had professional but minimal conservation, removal of old French polish etc…, presents superbly.
