Description

An c.18th, oak, tilt-top tripod supper table, dating from the third quarter of the c.18th, late George II, early George III period. Featuring a solid oak top. Supported by a baluster stem, raised on a tripod of carved cabriole legs. The top tilts by way of a hinged block, and secures with original trigger clasp.

A charming old country table, slightly reduced in height, in good condition and ready for use.

Dimensions:

This table measures approximately 63 cm (25") tall, and the top is 83.5 cm (33") in diameter.

Condition:

Please see the pictures for details of the items condition. - This table is in a good condition, commensurate with its age, and is structurally sound and sturdy. Some marks and blemishes. Reduced slightly in height, possibly 5 or 6 cm. The stem has some old natural aged splits, which have been filled. Good colour, patina, and wax polish. Cleaned and waxed polished. Ready for use. - As with all vintage & antique furniture there will be signs of use, marks, wear & tear, etc.
