This is a fine, super quality Victorian gilt frame in beautiful original condition dating from around 1870. This has its original gilt finish in excellent order and all the original crisp detail to the gesso is in beautiful first class condition.

A grand size size this measures 128 cms by 96 cms by 12 cms deep.

The aperture is 94 cms by 62 cms.

With the inner gilt slip removed it's possible to have an apperture of 100 cms by 68 cms.

The opening at the back to receive the painting is 94.5 cms by 63.5

Or 103 cms by 69.5 cms without the slip.
