Antique Walking Stick/horse Measuring Cane

1900 - 1920
Description

This is a fabulous piece of social history.

When horse power still ( in the majority of cases) meant four legs!

A gentleman’s walking stick with horn handle and internal measuring cane and brass spirit level pod.

The stick was manufactured in England and has a silver collar identifying , the london firm of J Howell and Co Ltd.

It also dates the cane to 1923.

A very desirable item , still perfectly functional!

Perfect for the individual with equestrian interests …

The tip of the stick has not been replaced and it is in original condition .
