Regency Mahogany 'snake' Hat And Coat Hall Stand

Exceptional Regency mahogany ''snake'' hat and coat hall stand; rare and extraordinary serpent model; the well defined carved snake''s head, on a very shapely serpentine body with six scrolled arms, cleverly angled to give distance from the wall. The base section to house sticks and umbrellas, having a curvaceous frame; raised on fine turned supports, to the well figured mahogany plinth, having a moulded edge terminating on small bun feet. The interior housing its original metal removable liner with small folding handles. Excellent quality in a good grade of mahogany.
