The Bristol M1 Monoplane was a British World War I fighter aircraft developed in 1916 by the Bristol Aeroplane Company. It was one of the few monoplane configurations deployed by the Royal Flying Corps during a period dominated by biplanes.

Flying models from the mid-twentieth century were constructed using balsa wood or pine frameworks covered in doped tissue paper or light canvas fabric. Metal wire was used for structural rigging alongside hand-carved timber propellers and spun metal cowlings.
