Description:
This is a fine quality vintage French nest of brass & marble tables, incorporating three tables, in the Louis XV style, circa 1930, in good original condition. The set comprises three tables, with a rectangular shape, decorated with pierced fretwork galleries and beaded frieze, inset with the original heavy solid Italian onyx marble tops. The marble tops boast stunning veined detail and colour. There are no cracks through the marble tops. The brass tables are raised on cabriole legs, decorated with acanthus leaf carvings at the knees, terminating on pad scroll pads. The French nest of brass & marble tables are designed to be safely stored under each other, to save floor space when not in use.
Condition Report:
Nominal old use scuffing / small chips to the leading edges of the heavy marble tops, and old use marks to the marble tops, but nothing significant considering the age of the item. See photo of one corner that has a small chip. There are no cracks through the marble tops. The brass table frames are in good condition with no breaks. The French nest of brass & marble tables have been cleaned by hand, to a professional standard in our workshop, therefore the colour and patination is of an excellent standard. This French brass nest of tables is ready for use.
