Of classic Georgian restrained form standing on square-section fluted tapering legs onto block feet . The corners having carved and pierced spandrel brackets of ‘Chinese Chippendale’ type design .

The cross-banded ,richly-figured mahogany over-hanging top having a square edge with a moulding below ,resonant of a marble slab top and taking it’s inspiration from antiquity .
The whole table in completely original ‘countryhouse’ , fresh-to-market condition , retaining its original polished surface and ‘skin’ which has achieved a rich colour and patina . Some historic marks and stains commensurate with age , use and purpose.
A smart Georgian period mahogany table of uncomplicated design , being of practical scale and proportions , for use in a dining room , drawing room or hall .
