Andros Antiques has dated this piece to the 19th Century.
The centre stretcher rail also features carved decoration.
The concave frieze supports the top, which has a beautifully aged warm toned tan leather. The leather surface itself has some marks and abrasions, that only adds to the character of the piece. The whole table wears its history with pride and is all the better for it.
Obviously, some time in its life, the table has been reduced down to coffee table height, that only enhances its useability in today’s home.
This table would work well with both a contemporary or tradition décor, very stylishly displaying your coffee table books, while providing a resting place for your cup or glass.
