A mid Victorian rosewood and mother of pearl inlaid card and cribbage box with original contents c.1850. The fine quality rosewood veneered box decorative quarter turned quadrant beaded edges to the lid and the base, the sides tapering slightly inwards towards the base. Superb decorative mother of pearl inlay to the centre of the lid and matching boarder around the edge. Sat on the original small turned bun feet. The hinged lid opening to reveal an original fitted and lined interior with four sections for playing cards and spaces for counters. Original inlaid cribbage board set to the centre complete with pegs, four leather bound games markers, red and white bone counters and book of games. Four sets of later cards included. Presented in superb original condition with rich patina and clean interior with contents. Measures 11.25" wide x 9" deep x 4" high.
