Good antique Japanese carved horn netsuke, a monkey holding in his paws the longevity peach, Edo period (1615-1868)

A humorous scene with a monkey holding an oversized peach, the intent face with round eyes and wrinkled forehead, sat on a rock peering over his shoulder guarding his find.

The natural hollow of the horn forming the larger toggle hole, plugged at the top.

In very good condition with expected wear and patination from use.

Height 1,15/16" or 50mm, weight 20 grams.
